The chairperson of women in Parliament and also the Federal Honourable representing Irewole Federal constituency Hon Taiwo Oluga was hosted earlier today on radio weekly program tagged “DISABLITY INCLUSION” OSBC 104.5 FM where she spoke extensively on “THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE MANAGEMENT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC”
Honourable Oluga uses the opportunity to explains the important roles of women during this period she said “Women are the most affected because they form 80 percent of our health workers who are at the fore front of this global pandemic and even Non-medical women who stay at home are face with a lot more to do by taking care of the children, cooking for the family, taking care of the environment and ensuring safety of their wards.
She also encourages the security officials to be more cautious during this period and should not use this opportunity to harrass women who are offering essential services to the community.
Hon Taiwo Oluga also uses the opportunity to condemn female genital mutilation and said offenders will be punish according to law.
The Federal Honourable also appreciated the first lady Alahaja Kafayat Oyetola for distributing palliatives to villages across Irewole Federal Constituency and encourages women who are not offering essential services to spend time with their families, loved ones and close relations.
